EquipMetric is decision support—not an appraisal, lender, inspector, lawyer, accountant or guarantee.

Provider and product identity

Known Range LLC d/b/a EquipMetric operates and provides EquipMetric. “EquipMetric” refers to the assumed name, brand, software, reports, tools and related services. References to “we,” “us” or “our” in these Terms mean Known Range LLC unless the context clearly refers to the EquipMetric product itself.

EquipMetric is not a separate legal entity. Known Range LLC remains the legal entity and contracting party when doing business under the EquipMetric assumed name.

1. Decision-support purpose

EquipMetric provides estimates, calculations, organized public/third-party evidence, owner-entered operating records and model-generated summaries. BUY, NEGOTIATE, PASS, market, fleet, resale, compliance and other signals are informational screening outputs. They are not certified appraisals, investment advice, financing commitments, legal advice, tax advice, insurance advice, safety certifications or promises of demand, profit, condition, title, resale value or future performance.

2. Your responsibility before a transaction

You are responsible for verifying the asset identity, ownership/title and lien status, physical condition, specifications, hours/mileage, towing and payload limits, insurance availability, financing terms, taxes, registration, permits, transport rules, workplace/operator requirements, contract terms and any other fact material to your purchase or rental operation.

Do not borrow, buy, sell, tow, rent or operate equipment solely because an EquipMetric model signal is favorable.

3. Inputs, coverage and assumptions

Outputs depend on the information entered and the evidence available at the time. Incorrect asking prices, rates, utilization, financing terms, insurance costs, reserves, locations or equipment details can materially change the result. Where evidence is thin, delayed or inaccessible, EquipMetric may lower confidence, withhold a conclusion or ask for more information.

Any valid U.S. ZIP can run the model. Maintained local evidence is densest for dump trailers and equipment/car haulers; thin markets receive a THIN evidence grade and do not receive an unsupported BUY signal. Coverage depth can vary by asset, geography, source accessibility and observation history.

4. Public and third-party evidence

Comparable listings, advertised rental rates, availability observations, government guidance and other external evidence may change, disappear, contain errors or differ from actual completed transactions. Known Range LLC does not control third-party websites and does not guarantee that every relevant listing, operator, sale or rule has been captured.

5. Testing status

EquipMetric is under active product testing. Features, access limits, calculations, categories, reports and pricing may change. Some tools may be incomplete or temporarily unavailable. Billing is not currently enabled.

6. Asset History and identifiers

Asset History can organize evidence tied to a VIN, PIN or serial number, but it is not an official vehicle-history, title, lien, theft, accident, warranty, service or ownership database. A lack of prior observations does not mean an asset has a clean history.

7. Compliance Guide

Compliance tools summarize public sources and identify items to verify for all 50 states + DC. Laws, agency guidance and local rules can change and can depend on facts that a ZIP code or equipment category cannot resolve. Research older than 90 days is marked stale. EquipMetric prioritizes state and federal primary sources, but you remain responsible for obtaining professional or agency guidance when appropriate.

8. Paid Purchase Analysis refund standard

This standard becomes effective if and when paid Purchase Analysis checkout is enabled by Known Range LLC. A customer may request a refund within seven days when the delivered report's final evidence grade is THIN. A customer is not entitled to a refund merely because the model returns NEGOTIATE, PASS or NEED MORE INFORMATION, or because the customer disagrees with the conclusion. Refund requests should include the report link or Deal ID.

9. Partner and referral relationships

Known Range LLC may eventually receive compensation from dealers, lenders, insurers, inspectors or other partners in connection with EquipMetric. Any such relationship should be disclosed where relevant. Partner compensation may not be used to alter the deterministic underwriting score, economic math or retained market evidence for a deal.

10. Acceptable use and report integrity

Do not use EquipMetric to submit unlawful material, scrape or overload the service, interfere with access controls, impersonate another person or business, upload information you are not authorized to share, or use the service to misrepresent an asset, transaction, seller or market.

Reports are tied to the submitted ZIP, listing snapshot and assumptions at the time of the run. Material edits to the asset, asking price, market or comparable evidence should result in a new analysis rather than presenting an old report as if it covered a different transaction.

11. Availability and warranties

The service is provided on an as-available basis. Known Range LLC may correct errors, change models, remove unsupported features, limit abusive traffic or suspend portions of EquipMetric. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties that the outputs will be complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular transaction.

12. Limitation of responsibility

You remain responsible for the financial and operational consequences of your decisions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Known Range LLC is not responsible for losses caused by relying on inaccurate user inputs, third-party information, changing market conditions, hidden mechanical defects, title/lien problems, unavailable insurance, regulatory changes, financing changes or other facts outside the model.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. To the extent a court has jurisdiction over a dispute arising from these Terms or the EquipMetric service, the parties agree that venue will lie in the state or federal courts serving Howard County, Texas, unless applicable law requires a different venue.

14. Changes to these terms

Known Range LLC may update these Terms as EquipMetric changes. Continued use after an updated effective date means the then-current Terms govern future use.
