What EquipMetric collects, why it is used, and what happens to listing screenshots.
Effective September 12, 2026. This notice covers the public EquipMetric website and beta product.
Information you provide
Depending on the tool you use, EquipMetric may receive a market ZIP code, equipment category, asking price, financing and operating assumptions, listing URL or description, VIN/PIN/serial number, meter hours, listing screenshots, email address, phone number, and owner-entered fleet or rental activity.
Do not submit information you are not authorized to share.
Listing screenshots
When you upload listing screenshots, the current extraction flow accepts up to four JPG, PNG or WEBP images. The images are uploaded to the model provider for fact extraction with response storage disabled. EquipMetric deletes the temporary uploaded image files after the extraction request completes, including when the request fails. The extracted text facts may be retained with the deal if you save the analysis.
This means the screenshot image itself is treated as transient input; the structured facts extracted from it can become part of the saved analysis.
How information is used
EquipMetric uses submitted information to calculate underwriting outputs, research local markets, build reports, link exact-asset history, provide market alerts, operate private owner workspaces, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and improve the accuracy and usefulness of the product.
Modeled assumptions, public/third-party evidence, owner-reported actuals and verification status are intended to remain distinguishable rather than being silently merged into one source of truth.
Service providers and third-party sources
EquipMetric may use hosting, database, email, AI/model, payment and research providers to operate the service. Public market research may also rely on third-party websites and official government sources. Those providers and source websites have their own privacy practices.
If billing is enabled, payment information is processed by the payment provider; EquipMetric does not need your full card number to produce the decision-support report.
Cookies, access links and operational logs
EquipMetric may use cookies or similar browser storage for report access, owner-workspace access, beta state, rate limiting and basic product operation. Server logs and error records may include technical request information needed to secure and troubleshoot the service.
Retention and deletion
Saved analyses, reports, owner-entered fleet records and market-alert subscriptions may be retained so the product can provide history, comparison and follow-up features. Temporary listing-image files are deleted after extraction as described above. Other records may be retained as reasonably necessary for product operation, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution and system integrity.
Your choices
You can choose not to provide optional listing URLs, screenshots, asset identifiers or owner-operating data. Market-alert emails include an unsubscribe path. If you no longer want to use a saved report or owner workspace, use the available product controls or the contact method shown in EquipMetric communications to request help with access or deletion.
Important limits
Do not use EquipMetric to store Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers, account passwords, medical information or other highly sensitive personal data. Asset identifiers and business contact information should only be submitted when you have a legitimate reason to use them.
Changes
This notice may be updated as beta features, service providers or data practices change. The effective date at the top will be revised when the notice materially changes.
